  • Mailing addresses (yours and your landlord's, for certified mail)
  • UTM parameters and Google click identifiers (for advertising attribution)

2. How We Use It

  • Generate your demand letter with accurate statutory citations
  • Send your demand letter via USPS certified mail
  • Process payments via Stripe
  • Send order confirmation and tracking emails via Resend
  • Measure advertising effectiveness

3. Third Parties

We share data with the following services to operate DepositBack:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Lob — printing and certified mail delivery
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Upstash — database hosting (signup and order data)
  • Google Ads — conversion tracking (anonymized)

4. Data Retention

  • Signup data is retained for 12 months, then deleted
  • We do not share your personal information beyond what is necessary to fulfill your order (i.e., your name and address appear on the mailed letter)
  • To request deletion of your data, email us at the address below

5. Your Rights (CCPA)

We do not sell your personal information. California residents may request access to or deletion of their data by contacting us.
